After studying on various art and design courses locally I eventually graduated with a degree in Fine Art from the University of Central Lancashire.
I have exhibited locally in the past at the Dock Museum and Art Gene as part of student exhibitions.
I am and always have been interested in an eclectic range of artistic disciplines, current areas of development include New Media and Photography. 1999
Artist Statement - Susan Hughes
My work explores internal imagery, subjective perception, spiritual aspiration and symbolism. White Square was made to intentionally give a different experience for each viewer, the internal imagery being formed in the mind of the viewer, prompted by the text.
Art is, and always has been an effective form of communication. It’s success lies in it’s subjective interpretation. My work aims to give something to the viewer, whether it is dialogue, beauty, movement, emotion or inspiration.
